हम भीतर जितने खाली रहेंगे जीवन में उतने ही शांत रहेंगे

सांसारिक जीवन में पूर्णता की जितनी जरूरत है, आध्यात्मिक जीवन में खालीपन का उतना ही महत्व है। हम संसार में खाली रह ही नहीं सकते। दुनिया ऐसे ही चलती है। कोई किसी से छीनकर भर रहा है और जिसका छिन जाता है, वो दोबारा भरने की तैयारी करता है। अध्यात्म में इसका उल्टा है। अध्यात्म कहता है थोड़ा खालीपन, थोड़ा कोरा होना भी जरूरी है। इसलिए भीतर के शून्य की बात कही जाती है। हम भीतर जितना खाली रहेंगे, उतने ही शांत रहेंगे और भीतर जितने भरे हुए रहेंगे, अशांत रहेंगे। जब संसार में उतरें तो खालीपन न रखें पूर्णता से झगड़ा न रखें। संसार, संसार की तरह ही चलेगा। उसमें ज्यादा उलझन पैदा न करें, लेकिन जैसे ही अपने भीतर उतरें, फौरन खालीपन के महत्व को समझें। लोग हमसे पूछते हैं - आखिर यह खालीपन के महत्व को समझें। लोग हमसे पूछते हैं - आखिर यह खालीपन होता क्या है और मिलेगा कैसे ? जिनके जीवन में गुरु आए हैं, वे खालीपन को समझ सकेंगे, क्योंकि गुरु का काम ही है भीतर जाकर सफाई कर देना और इसके लिए वह ध्यान सिखाता है। ध्यान सफाई की उस क्रिया का नाम है, जो भीतर खलीपन पैदा करता है। शास्त्रों में लिखा है - ‘आचार्यो मृत्युः’ यानी आचार्य मृत्यु है। सीधी-सी बात है गुरु के पास गए और हमारी उस बात की मृत्यु हो जाएगी, जिस बात को संसार ने जीवन माना है। हम बाहर जहाँ-जहाँ जीवन ढूंढ़ते हैं, दरअसल वहाँ होता नहीं है, इसलिए लोग अपना जीवन जीने के लिए दूसरे का जीवन छीनने लगते हैं। भीतर उतरते ही आप अपने जीवन से परिचित हो जाते हैं और जो अपनी जिंदगी को जान गया, वो दूसरे की जिंदगी का भी मान करेगा।
